Robotics
The focus of the Robotics research in IIIT centers on creating a low-cost, reliable mobile robot platform to be used in educational research. The goal is to build a family of general-purpose collaborating robots, which utilize low-cost sensors, off-the-shelf components and computing platforms.
Areas Of Focus
- Designing and implementing the Ubiquitous Mobile Robot (UMR)
- Multi-robot co-ordination and communication
- Low-cost inertial navigation units
- Intelligent agents
- Creation of a high-level robot behavior software and user toolkits
Some of the projects on display are
- Ubiquitous Mobile Robot
- Design & implementation of Firmware on the Embedded Board
- Cost-effective LASER Range Finding
- Firmware for the I/O Controller
