The main objective is to develop small low cost swarm of mobile robot for research in multi robotic algorithms

Description ::


Micro robot is small versatile low cost robotic system. Its mechanical structure comprises of holonomic drive system making it capable of navigating in tight space. Micro robot incorporates an array of various sensors for sensing its environment with high accuracy. It has scalable architecture in all the aspects viz. mechanics, electronics, software. It can also be scaled in terms of number of robots in a swarm of robot.

It is controlled from the program running on the computer via ZigBee radio communication. Basic functionalities like motion control, odometric position estimation, integration of sensor readings are implemented in the onboard controller board. Thus computer is freed up from micro managing the robot tasks and the amount of data between the computer and robot is reduced to large extent.
