Dr. Amit Jain is presently working as research assistant professor at IIIT Hyderabad. He is an Electrical Engineer and did his M.Tech. in Energy Studies and Ph.D. in Power Systems from IIT, Delhi. He worked in Alstom and later on he was JSPS postdoctoral fellow in Japan and Brain Korea Postdoctoral researcher in Korea. His research interests are real time monitoring and control functions for energy management systems, power system planning, reliability and economics, electricity markets, distributed generation and renewable energy sources, artificial intelligence applications, nanotechnology and high performance computing

Prof. M. Ramamoorty obtained his PhD from the University of Toronto in 1967. He then joined IIT, Kanpur as a faculty Member in the Electrical Engineering department, where he served till 1977.In 1977 he joined M/s. Hindustan Brown Boveri Ltd., (Now M/s. ABB) as Chief of Research. He then joined the Central Power Research Institute as its first Director General in 1983. He retired from service in 1994. Dr. Ramamoorty then, took over as Director ERDA in June 1995 and demitted his office as Director on 31st October 2006 after completion of his contract period. Dr. Ramamoorty took over as Advisor ERDA from November 2006. His research interests include Power Electronics, Electric Machines and Drives, Power Quality, Power Electronic Applications to Power Systems and Power systems.

He is a Fellow of IEEE and Fellow of Indian National academy of Engineering

Dr. Vishal Garg is presently working as an assistant professor at IIIT Hyderabad. He did his BE from MBM Engineering College, Jodhpur and PhD from centre for Energy Studies, IIT, Delhi. His research interests are smart occupancy sensor, task control of lighting, heating, air conditioning, fuzzy logic based protocol for wireless sensors network, and fiber optic based day lighting, intelligent buildings and energy simulation.

Dr. M. B. Srinivas did his PhD from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. His research areas are diagnostic testing of electrical power apparatus, neural networks for condition monitoring of equipment, neural hardware for pattern recognition in real time.
