Power and energy sector is vital for a country's sustained development. Hence it is important to have an efficient, reliable and an advanced power system. As the Information Technology expands its horizons, power engineering, like other tradional branches of engineering, is finding new tools and methods to solve its problems. In view of this, the Power Systems Research Center (PSRC) was setup in IIIT-Hyderabad, with an aim of undertaking research in the areas of IT applications to Power and Energy systems. This group in IIIT-Hyderabad consists of group of 3 faculty members and around 5 research students. |
