The IBM School of Enterprise Wide Computing opened at IIIT in January 1998. Designed to international standards, the School offers the world's finest Mainframe (S/390) and Mid-range (AS/400) education facilities. This includes a state-of-the-art S/390 system, an AS/400, an RS/6000 AIX server and an NT server with a hundred workstations linked in a LAN with WAN connectivity. It also includes the latest operating systems and database, transaction processing and networking software products. Physical infrastructure in the School comprises four classrooms, three laboratories, a technical library, seminar and conference rooms.
